Can anyone recommend or share their best low sodium drinks? I'm slowly shifting to a low sodium diet (as suggested by my family and friends)
Black coffee, tea, fruit juices, and water are low sodium. Beware of mineral waters as those may have higher levels of sodium. Avoid water that is filtered through a water softener as that will have more sodium. Many sports drinks such as Gatorade and Powerade have sodium in them so plan accordingly in your daily allotment of sodium. Dairy milk has some sodium so again calculate that into your daily sodium allotment. Plant based milks such as almond milk have varying amounts of sodium so check labels carefully.
